Monthly auto pay: $50. (set up at studio)
Student/active military monthly: $39. (set up at studio)

Dharma Yoga: Dharma Yoga is a graceful, yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma Mittra’s fifty years of practice of classical yoga. The practice is appropriate for students of all levels, from beginner to lifelong practitioners and accessible to so many because it meets each student where they are and according to their condition. As students move through the different series, they are encouraged to go deeper and experience the practice in a meditative and spiritual way. Dharma Yoga has roots in all nine forms of yoga, including Hatha, Raja, Karma, Kriya, Bhakti, Japa, Laya and Jnana, as well as a focus on the Eight Limbs of Yoga (Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga) with great emphasis placed on Yama and Niyama.
Dharma Gentle Yoga: This slow gentle practice is ideal for beginners, those returning from injury, seniors, and anyone just looking for a gentle practice. Dharma Gentle encourages healing and toning to the body. This class starts with a gentle guided warm up and moves through several seated poses.
Vinyasa Yoga: Vinyasa yoga is all about movement, breath, and flow through yoga poses. All levels are welcome!
On your first trip to The Yoga Shala plan on arriving 10 to 15 minutes early to fill out a student information form and waiver. Or just do that here!
Always sign in on the class list before class starts. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle and a yoga mat. If you need a mat for your first class we have mat rentals available to you complimentary.

Dharma Yoga in Our Public Schools!
Jai and Kim have had an amazing time taking Dharma Yoga to the children in our community! Kim has been practicing Dharma Yoga with her middle school students as a regular offered class since 2017. Jai has been pretty busy for the past few years bringing Dharma Yoga to every single elementary, middle school and high school in Provo School District! Literally close to 18,000 kids get to experience Dharma Yoga each school year! The kids love Jai and they really love learning Dharma Yoga!

We meet up and practice at The Yoga Shala at 845 N. State St in Orem during colder months. In the warmer months we meet up at Timpanogos Park just up Provo Canyon. (in case of inclement weather meet at The Yoga Shala)

Vegan Kitchari! (pictured above) is a simple savory Indian dish consisting of rice, legumes, veggies, and spices. Kim makes this regularly for our Kirtan nights and it is gone in a flash every time!
Here! Have the recipe and try it for yourself!
1/2 cup yellow split peas (or mung beans, or a mix of both)
1 cup basmati rice
3 T olive oil
1/3 cup raw cashews
2 t cumin powder
Dash of red pepper flakes
2 T fresh minced ginger (or more, because it is delicious)
1 t turmeric (let it be heaping because it is so good for you)
1 t asafoetida powder (found at Indian/Asian markets or on Amazon)
1 small cauliflower (in big chunks)
Some grape tomatoes whole
6 cups water (with 2 T better than bullion veggie broth paste)
Top with a few sprigs of fresh rosemary and or thyme (if you like)
Cook in slow cooker on low for
6 to 8 hours
When split peas are soft
and you are ready to eat add:
1 1/2 t salt
2/3 cups frozen peas & or edamame or both
More cherry tomatoes
Top each plate with fresh cilantro
Note: Be creative! I add in all kinds of veggies depending on what I have. I also have used quinoa in place of rice.
